When you live with physical health challenges—whether it is chronic pain, fatigue, GI distress, autoimmune or weight-related struggles—your body can feel like an enemy. It is exhausting to spend all your time tracking symptoms or waiting for the "ideal body" to finally start living. If your physical health or relationship with food and body weight is dictating your quality of life, there is another way forward. Physical discomfort, body image anxiety, and emotional eating feed into one another. Distress around your weight or symptoms triggers shame and frustration, which drives coping mechanisms that exacerbate physical distress. In our sessions, you will learn practical mindfulness tools to help soothe your nervous system, clarify what a fulfilling life looks like to you today, and take realistic steps toward it.
