Weight Concerns & Body Image: Break free from chronic diet cycles, emotional eating, and weight self-stigma. Rebuild body trust and nourish yourself based on health, not shame.
Chronic Pain & Injury: Shift away from fear-avoidance behaviors and rebuild daily physical movement at your own pace.
Autoimmune & Metabolic Health: Manage diagnosis adjustments, weight shifts from medication or illness, and energy pacing.
Stress-Related & Somatic Symptoms: Soothe GI issues, tension, and nervous system overload tied to weight or health anxiety.
Medical Burnout: Navigate doctor appointments, health uncertainty, and the emotional weight of managing long-term physical care.
Stop Fighting Your Body. Start Reclaiming Your Life.
When you live with physical health challenges—whether it is chronic pain, fatigue, GI distress, or weight-related struggles—your body can feel like an enemy. It is exhausting to spend all your energy tracking symptoms, fighting scale fluctuations, counting calories out of distress, or waiting for the "ideal body" to finally start living.
If your physical health or relationship with food and body weight is dictating your quality of life, there is another way forward.
I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based approach designed to break the cycle of physical suffering, body grief, and emotional strain. Instead of spending your life fighting your body’s limitations or appearance, we work together to build psychological flexibility so you can live a rich, meaningful life alongside physical challenges.
How ACT Helps Manage Physical Symptoms & Weight Concerns
Physical discomfort, body image anxiety, and emotional eating feed into one another. Distress around your weight or symptoms triggers shame and frustration, which drives coping mechanisms (like binge eating, restriction, or total withdrawal) that exacerbate physical distress.
ACT disrupts this feedback loop by shifting the focus from controlling or hating your body to building a compassionate, values-based relationship with it.
We will not practice toxic positivity or ask you to "just think positive" about your health. Your physical symptoms are real, and the toll they take is real.
In our sessions, you will learn practical, body-based mindfulness tools to soothe your nervous system, clarify what a fulfilling life looks like to you today, and take realistic steps toward it.
