As a yoga teacher and marriage and family therapist, I am passionate about helping clients and students discover how to cultivate a relationship with themselves. I believe curiosity encourages the growth and clarity instrumental to the healing process. When clients are given the space to explore themselves on the mat or in a session, I believe they’re able to access a greater sense of awareness, focus and clarity in everyday life. It is this same curiosity that inspired my own journey towards self-growth and understanding.
Although I took my first yoga class in college, I began exploring it more seriously in 2010. In 2012, I earned my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy; and a certification in Medical Family Therapy at Seattle Pacific University. While earning my degree, I had the unique experience of training with a medical residency team at the University of Washington. I worked with patients and physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients on both the mental and physical level. This furthered my interest in mind-body integration and I decided to complete a yoga teaching certification.
In 2012, after graduating with my masters and yoga certification, I moved to New York City. While there, I worked in private practice with both individuals and couples. My study of yoga also expanded, earning both a 500-hr certification and therapeutic credential. I have since studied restorative and healing modalities with New York senior teacher Jillian Pransky and YogaWorks senior teacher trainer Chrissy Carter.
After returning to Seattle in 2017, I began work at Seattle Children's hospital providing support to patients managing prolonged concussion symptoms and their families navigating their care.
My passion is working with young women facing transition whether through physical illness/injury, college, relationships issues or job stress. Finding balance in the brink of this often unsteady ground can be difficult and challenging. I hope to offer the support and help others to find their own path toward healing.
